img_2776Around 400 people of all ages paid their respects at the annual Kings Hill Remembrance Dayservice. A parade led by the 1st Kings Hill Girls Brigade, which also included the Mereworth and Kings Hill Scouts and members of the public, went from Liberty Square to the Running Airman Statue, where the service took place.
Dignitaries and members from across Kings Hill
and further afield were led in worship by the Rev. Matt Ross, Pastor of Kings Hill Christian Fellowship and Rev. Mark Montgomery, Leader of St Gabriel’s Kings Hill. The service included representatives of Kings Hill School and Valley Invicta Primary School at Kings Hill and the laying of wreaths at the memoria.

This annual event is organised by Kings Hill Parish Council in partnership with the Churches on Kings Hill.

Around another 50 people, including students from Valley Invicta Primary School at Kings Hill, also gathered around the Running Airman Memorial at 11am on the 11th, to take part in a short act of remembrance and two minute silence.
