Thank you to everyone who participated in the recent vote to help us choose a name for our church congregation on Kings Hill.
The winner with 49% of the vote was St Gabriel’s Church, Kings Hill!
Christ the King edged St Leonard’s into third place with 22% of the vote, compared to 21% for St Leonard’s.
Given that we are a small congregation without much history behind us, we were encouraged that around four times the number of people that attend on a Sunday felt they wanted to participate in the choice of a name.
We will be writing to the Bishop of Rochester to inform him of the vote and choice of name and we hope to have a special service in the near future to celebrate and mark the official start of this new name for the congregation on Kings Hill. Watch this space for more details.
In the meantime, the Church of England on Kings Hill… sorry, St Gabriel’s, Kings Hill will continue to meet as a congregation each Sunday at 9.30 a.m. in the Community Hall. You can find out about upcoming services via this website or feel free to contact us with questions.
