Can you take £10 and times it by 10 in 10 weeks by using your talents?
That’s right we are inviting you to take on the 10 x 10 fundraising challenge over 10 weeks starting on July 16th for our building project.
What is 10 x 10 Fundraising Challenge?
Based on the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30, Luke 19:12-28), the idea is to use a talent, your creativity and maybe enterprise to turn the £10 into £100 (or more) over the 10 week period. Projects can be anything from cake sales to hosting a dinner party charging donation, a silent auction, a raffle, craft activity, or any creative idea you can come up with. Don’t worry if you don’t make £100 all money raised is helpful.
Don’t worry it doesn’t have to be a ‘big’ thing, it can be quite simple. Previously one of our church members made bookmarks from card, stickers and laminating pouches, sold them to friends and family and raised over the £100 target, and they were 4 years old!
Through all the activities at the same time, hopefully, you will have chance to speak about the building project and also have a gospel sharing impact.
All monies raised will go towards our new church building project, and our fundraising total.
How does it work?
On Sunday 16th July at Morning worship and Messy Church we will have envelopes with £10 and a fundraising form. If you wish to take part we will sign an envelope over to you and ask you to bring the envelope back, with the money raised, and the form completed on Sunday 24th September to a special celebration service at 10am. Please keep £10 of that money separate of that you have raised. Of course you can bring or send back the money earlier if you wish.
Over the summer please send Clare our administrator any photos or updates and we will profile them in our notices and during worship.
If you wish to take part and can’t make church over the weekend of the 16th, send a message below and we will be in touch.
