Announcement re: interviews for Associate Priest

A message from Clive Mansell, Archdeacon of Tonbridge, who led the interviews last week for an Associate Priest to work with David and Pat and live on Kings Hill.

“Last week, we interviewed candidates for the post of Associate Priest on a half-time stipend, to live at Kings Hill and minister within the five churches of the Cluster. Unfortunately we were not able to make an appointment. This is very disappointing for everyone, including, of course, the candidates. Together with the Bishop, myself,  Canon Jean Kerr, the Diocesan Director of Mission and Community Engagement, David and Pat, we will now take stock further, commit this to God in prayer and look to see how we next move things forward to make an appropriate appointment in due course. In the meantime, our sincere thanks go to all those who helped in any way with the process last week.”

In due course, we will hope to re-advertise once we’ve had further chance to discuss the matter with Diocesan staff and consider what we can learn from this round of advertising and interviews.
