The Vision

The Church of England has been at the heart of Kings Hill since the early days of house building. After gathering in homes, schools and even the local pub for over twenty years, we are really excited to be launching our new building project to have a home of our own and a great community asset for the people of Kings Hill. Since those early days of meeting, God has given the congregation and Diocese of Rochester the long term vision of a Church Building at the centre of the development serving the community and giving Christians a dedicated place of worship.

In 2013 The Church of England on Kings Hill became St Gabriel’s, which has become a lively vibrant worshipping community of all ages, coming together throughout the week and on a Sunday, sharing in fellowship and faith.

St Gabriel’s is firmly at the heart of Kings Hill, running various activities and community support. The vision for the building is to create a place of community for all people. A community Hub at the heart of Kings Hill, where all ages, regardless of faith affiliation are welcomed at different times of the week, through the various community activities that we run.
