St Gabriel’s welcomes Bishop for new name and new home

A photo of Rt Rev James Langstaff, Bishop of RochesterSt Gabriel’s Church takes up its new name officially this Sunday as we welcome Bishop James Langstaff, Bishop of Rochester, to a special celebration service on Kings Hill.

At 9.30 a.m. for our Sunday morning service, he will be leading and preaching as the church congregation gathers to ‘inaugurate’ their use of the name “St Gabriel’s”.

This Sunday’s service takes place at the Discovery School on Discovery Drive and as such also marks the start of a new era as we move our regular venue for worship from the Community Centre and into the school.

We are also pleased to welcome the Girls’ Brigade (who are attached to the church) and the Discovery School Choir will also both be present and taking part in the service.

Kings Hill residents are especially welcome to come and join the church as we begin a new chapter for church life and witness on Kings Hill.
