St Gabriel’s Church and Kings Hill Christian Fellowship are working in partnership to run a positive alternative to Halloween for primary school children. Taking place at The Discovery School on 31st October 2016 from 6pm to 7.30pm, it will combine games, crafts and food, to bring fun for all primary school ages.

What is a light party?

For many people Halloween is just a little bit of fun, but for others it is a very scary event. A light party offers a positive alternative to those who either don’t like halloween or want to try something different. As churches we want to gives those children who are scared by halloween the ability to have fun in a safe environment.

Why do we have a light party?

You may not know that halloween is also the Christian festival of All Hallows’ Eve and All Saints’ Day, which remembers the lives of those Christians who gave up everything for their faith in Jesus.

Come dressed in your best party wear or fancy dress (but please no halloween costumes).

To register your child please go to our eventbrite page. However we will still need a consent form (lightpartyconsentform) form which you can bring on the day or drop it off at the Vicarage, 19 Worcester Avenue before the event.

Unfortunately without a consent form your child will not be able to stay at the party.

The event is run by experienced (DBS checked) youth and children’s workers, however parents are welcome to stay with younger children if they would like, and we will have tea and coffee available for you.
